Who We Are

The British Isles Biochar Association (BIBA) is a not-for-profit association bringing together individuals and organisations with an interest in the responsible development and understanding of biochar across the UK and Ireland.

BIBA exists to advance the responsible production, application, and understanding of biochar, supporting its role in climate resilience, soil health, sustainable agriculture, and circular economies.

The Association provides a space for collaboration and shared learning between researchers, producers, farmers, businesses, policymakers, and others with an interest in biochar, as the sector continues to develop.
